CDV, albumen print photograph c. 3.5 x 2 inches on cardstock mount (4 x 2.5 inches). Verso Lithographed by "Wimmerlin, " listing his prices for CDVs. A full length studio portrait, standing, leaning his right elbow on his Sarony Poser, with an exasperated look on his face, hand on forehead, his left hand in his pocket.
Alexandre Valtier was a photographer active in Paris, at 18, rue de la Pépinière (around 1859), then 11 boulevard des Capucines (around 1861, 1862); and Rue Esquermoise (until around 1869). He teamed up with the photographer Alexandre Ken and they operated at the same address as Louis Camille d'Olivier, in Paris.
